Gateshead based Hyserve Limited sees success in sales and growth

Hyserve Limited is a new business that, amidst the global pandemic, launched in May 2020. Committed to assisting businesses with their complete hydraulic requirements, the company offers their services to not only North East businesses but UK wide and are situated in close proximity to major road, rail, air and sea networks.

The company was created to offer a complete hydraulic solution, alleviating the pains away from customers by taking care of all their hydraulic requirements from one source. As a new business they relied heavily on loaning equipment and subcontracting work out with the aim of self-funding the purchasing of their own equipment after operating for 12 months. In the interim, this meant that clients orders were declined when necessary equipment were not available. This was not viable for business success in the long run and could heavily impact for reputation, they had little control over quality and there were lengthened lead times.  

In June 2020 Jerome Dardillac, Managing Director of Hyserve Limited, got in touch with Alan Whittaker, Programme Manager of Supply Chain North East, to discuss what support was available to help solve key challenges that the business was facing. It was then identified that Hyserve could bring forward their plans of purchasing their own equipment through applying for a Capital Grant under Supply Chain North East.

Through the Capital Grant support, the company have been able to purchase several machineries which has enabled them to increase their capacity as well as drive their efficiency. They have been able to provide more bespoke packages to customers through obtained a hose manufacturing equipment and a pipe bender. As a result of this the company has seen productivity increased by 30%, on-site installation time reduced by 20% and they have acquired three new customers as a direct result of the new equipment.

Hyserve have successfully hit 50% of their sales turnover target within their first 4 months of trading and have increased their workforce. Looking on their horizon the company hope to continue expanding their business, develop their revenue streams and diversify their customer base. They are currently exploring the implementation of control software to further enhance their inhouse production abilities.

An integral part of the North East Strategic Economic Plan, that has a vision to create 100,000 more and better jobs between 2014 and 2024. Supply Chain North East is delivered across the region by RTC North, Generator, North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) and North East Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC).

Supply Chain North East is a multimillion programme aimed at revolutionising the way SMEs diversify their offering and embrace new markets. The programme has received more than £3m of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund, which is part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
